Just finished reading this, had a great time w/ it. Short & sweet kafka-esque sisyphean horror from 1960s japan. People often describe it as "surreal" but I don't think it was at all I have a copy of "The Box Man" (one of Hideo Kojima's faves) from the same author and ill probably read that next
