Today the post office brought me joy in a beat up box, My joy made the postal lady behind the counter smile and the Gremlin itself made my coworkers gasp in awe. @missmonster.bsky.social One did ask if it was 3D printed. I set him right. Yay Space Gremlin! Love it!

After years of doing it slowly, bit by bit and board by board, I've laid the last board. Fiddly bits and then onto cleaning.

The last board, a scrap piece of cedar with a dip from from a bit of live edge. Yes, I am using school glue to lay a base layer before I fill the gaps and cracks because in the event of it, I want to be able to remove the boards without tearing up the subfloor. But it's the last board and now it's onto the fiddly bits.

I painted an angel for an exhibition. I kinda like her with the blue tape framing her.

I painted an angel for an exhibition, in the soft pinks of nebulous clouds, dotted with little stars. A clear mouth because she spoke things into existence. The nose a remnant from when she was more human at the start of the painting, or perhaps a sign of her becoming more human later in her story arc. Here she is, a glimpse through blue painters tape put on to protect her from scratches and paint splatter as I coated the sides with a glow in the dark paint.
