💯 this.Thiaw and Botman should work. Think the lack of midfield isn't helping. Wissa was great as a 10 with Osula up front vs Liverpool. Not sure why not now. We play a 2 man midfield with an attacking midfielder dropping in. We can't build solidity on that. Point 4, no comment. Point 5, no comment.

I don't mind the arguments young team, blah blah etc. But lack of defending, lack of ability to finish a chance, lack of plan B, never a change in formation. Lack of fight, looking like we dont care. He has an eye for it, too. In the first half, when Thiaw had no idea there was a player behind him, Miley spotted the run and defended really well. But as a DM in a 2, he doesn't work as effectively as he does further forward in a 3. Could be a funny season for him, but he will adapt.

I love this kid. But even he had his moments yesterday. Particularly aren't he lost the ball once and just jogged back. Unlike him admittedly and maybe a sign of how exhausting it was playing against that Bournemouth press. Hall looked knackered late on, and their RW had him all first half.
