generic ass ones are dirt cheap yeah. long as you can find one that fits good enough, that can be potentially a solution. they will wick sweat very quickly tho, so that may or may not be ideal. maybe attach sensors to a safety harness instead. as a bonus you can be hung from the ceiling

replaced the cracked and worn generic titan clone (black) that the printer came with, with the brand new generic titan clone (clear, better quality) i got a while back, and re-adjusted the filament tension should work fine again now if it gives any more trouble, i'll swap with an all-metal drive

guess whose extruder on their printer cracked, completely borking the tension on the filament going to the hotend? thankfully i already have a replacement on hand, just gotta dp the swap amazingly the 3hr print did 'complete' even in that state, the walls are just a fragile plastic sponge :p

reminder: you can use a dirt cheap dash mini griddle to make tiny quesadillas the fact that the small tortillas are a little bigger than the griddle itself means the ends get pressed together so it's an enclosed little pocket, so if you put more than just cheese in it the fillings don't leak out

I finally got some thin wire so that I could wire up the 5-way joystick (⬆/⬇/⬅/➡/button) I shoved in my node's case next to the screen, and did a custom firmware build to support it. Works perfectly, except I need to rotate the mount 45 degrees. Diamond oriented base, not square apparently.

The Bay Area mesh ( bayme.sh ) runs on the MediumFast preset, and is one of the largest meshes! Depending on terrain it can be hard to send out, but receiving is a lot easier. (This screenshot is just nodes that are sharing location publicly, there's actually over a thousand nodes out here)
