I literally just Googled "gargoyles live action" to try and figure out what a headline notification I dismissed was about, and Google just gave me (I can only assume) the instructions its AI was given for responses. I just can't help but wonder what "No AI disclaimers" is doing on this list. 🤨

A mobile screenshot of a Google search for "gargoyles live action", only to be met with Google's AI Overview. The first five lines contain instructions for the AI to follow with its responses, including "Direct answer first sentence", "simple language, short sentences", "Scannable (headers, bullet points)", "No AI Disclaimers" and "Follow-up tags at the end", before talking about the Live Action adaptation of Gargoyles that was at one point in development, but has since been canceled.

Isn't that the same dude who voiced G-Man and Barney in Half-Life?

I just miss forums, man. I know they're still technically out there, but you're almost never going to be pushed to that section of the internet anymore. Literally everyone, Google included, is just going to either direct you to a subreddit, twitter account or Discord server for everything. It sucks.

000

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

At least with most of Reddit, you can open a page to someone asking a question, potentially get an answer, and then leave. But even then, subreddits don't feel like a place for that community so much as it's a place that people in that community are inevitably forced into. Maybe that's just me.

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

And like, there is absolutely a place for Discord channels, I'm not saying that Discord needs to die or anything like that, but the fact that it and Reddit have both in tandem replaced dedicated forums feels... painful to me in a way? I have to join a giant server for one thing and then leave?

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

"Hey, I'm having trouble with your program." "JOIN MY DISCORD" "This game mod looks cool, where can I download it?" "JOIN THE DISCORD" "I figured out most of the process, but I just need one little thing to finish it off." "DISCORD HAS A HELP GUIDE" "This doesn't work." "DISCORD BUG REPORT CHANNEL"

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

You know if I had to pick one thing I'm really irritated about that probably doesn't matter to anyone but me, I'm sick of how forums and message boards have just been lost in the ether and we're now replacing them with Discord servers. In the long run it's such a small thing, but it irritates me.

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Bleh. I just needed to get all this out, ignore my inane ramblings. If anyone has input, I'd definitely be down to listen. Maybe I need to just relax - I literally only have made one single video, I probably shouldn't have a crisis over my potential path when I've barely even started lmao

000

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Like as I write this I have all these concerns about what people will see me as, but like, what I'm describing is essentially "General gaming Youtuber with a few concurrent series and some scattered individual content". Is that necessarily a bad thing though? And am I worrying about it too early?

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

And then of course I do have another series in mind I wanna do, but I'm keeping that one under wraps until I'm confident. It's a gaming challenge that's almost certainly more for me than anything else, but again, I also don't wanna become the "Challenge Content" guy. ...Am I worrying too much?

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

So far all I've really got though is "Giving each Smash Bros. character Motion Inputs", and boy howdy do I already have a few ideas for that, but I'm not entirely sure about it. Like, there's already so much Smash Bros. content out there, I don't wanna seem like I'm just chasing that rabbit, too.

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

So I've got the first episode of Fishing for Compliments done, but I'm thinking about whether or not I should maybe try to do some other kind of content in-between? Like obviously I wanna focus on FfC, but maybe having something unrelated could be nice? Just as a sort of refresher between videos.

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

I haven't seen it yet but whenever discourse around a movie starts well before the movie even comes out? It really is odd to see. (This joke sucked, I'll take my leave--)

I've been making customs of Army of Darkness cards for a little bit, and honestly I think its "fantasy-adjacent" nature could be fun. I know the current thought process is "We want as few guns as possible because the weapons are supposed do be magic", but really, Ash with his Boomstick sounds peak.

000

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

As someone who only really got into Magic the Gathering recently, and it was largely due to the Final Fantasy Universes Beyond sets, I get why people are so iffy on UB as a concept but I do think it can be a good thing in moderation. That said, I just hope Evil Dead/Army of Darkness is in the cards

I just uploaded a video I've been working on for a while! This is a satirical "review" series, where I take a video game and analyze whether the game is worth it based on its fishing content! It's my first time doing something like this, so it's not perfect, but I hope someone out there enjoys it!

So, late night thought, but say we do get a Star Fox movie. What's the over/under on it being yet another remake of Star Fox 64?

I come back from my dormant state to give you a lil boy #milestailsprower #sonicfanart

A spread of 5 poses of Miles "Tails" Prower, a warm yellow two-tailed fox with white tail tips, muzzle and inner ears; light blue eyes; and red and white shoes. From left to right: Tails shrugging his shoulders, him holding up his index finger, him with his back to the viewer while adjusting his gloves, bottom left Tails focused on fixing something, and him wagging his tails in the center.

Note: The prior post was a joke, nothing more. I really don't care how people say Pokemon names, I used to think it was called "Gigantra" instead of "Giratina". I cannot tell you why.

Going into 2026 I just have one request for everyone; learn how to pronounce Arceus correctly. The C doesn't sound like an S, and Silvally's "RKS System" ability is proof of that. This has been on my mind for some time, I apologize if this little rant comes off as Arcey.

Look, I know that there's some things that game devs can't talk about, but all I wanna know is whether or not Charmy wanting Blaze to set him on fire in Crossworlds is a reference to the old coodoo17 sprite videos where he's a pyromaniac. youtu.be/-u52ANY_G1Y?...

I already hate "React" content, but I especially hate when its literally the exact same thumbnail, but with the person reacting to the video just... making a stupid face on top of the original image. And no, Vtubers don't get a pass for this because it's an anime girl. That kinda makes it worse.

I hate being able to read Ancient Internet Hieroglyphs. Sometimes, it's just Loss abstracted into oblivion. Other times...

020

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

Bottom line, this is the life we lead now. Violence is the only way to get things done. I hate it. Healthcare won't get better so we have to bump off CEOs. People won't stop spewing hateful rhetoric, so they meet their end too. This is the world these people wanted. Why is it a problem now?

010

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

The "Facts don't care about your feelings" crowd is solely driven by their feelings because facts are too inconvenient for them, and no more does it show than when you apply their rules and logic to them. Gun violence is okay? Here it is. Why is it so wrong now? Because he has a family? So did they.

110

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

These people will openly cheer for and idolize a teenager who was popular with them *literally because he killed a minority*, but when it happens to them using rhetoric they've pushed and cheered for, suddenly it's a problem. It's hypocrisy. And that's the point. They don't have a solid ideology.

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

These people will cheer when someone they don't like dies, spew slurs at minorities, run them over at protests and make declarations about hoping someone seriously harms them, but when someone they agree with kicks it, suddenly it's "Nobody should die for their political beliefs."

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

I believe that murder is a heavy thing to consider, and even for people I don't like, I'm not gonna wish it on anyone. But if this is what you want, if this is the world you choose to live in, if this is how you people think this should be handled? Then don't act surprised when it happens.

100

Leland Miller @3ternals0ul.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

It isn't that "The left is the party of murder". It isn't that "They couldn't defeat him in a debate". It isn't even that "There's a tremendous amount of hypocrisy from people who don't want people to die from their politics." It's that this is the world he and people like him have cultivated.

Look, all I'm saying is that "The Gulf of America" has the same sad, small-penis energy that calling Twitter "X" gives off. I guess that makes some sense, given who's in charge right now, but it's honestly depressing at this point.

Dino girls? Dino girls. #art #dinosaur

A group of 5 dinosaur girls. From ledt to right:
- an orange triceratops girl with a finger on her cheek, looking confused.
- a red pterodactyl girl looking down as she glides.
- a light blue trex girl with a big toothy grin.
- a purple ankylosaurus girl in a magenta dress, blowing a kiss.
- A green velociraptor girl looking mischievous and giving a peace sign.

Man, there was one thing that would get me to look into playing Marvel Rivals, and that was if there was a Blue Venom skin based on early comics and the PS1 Spidey game. And now I find out that there is one, and it's a Beta Participation Trophy. God fucking damn it. And it looks awesome, too!

The Spider-Man character Venom in the game Marvel Rivals. While Venom's main color scheme is black with a white spider on his chest, this skin references older media in which he is sometimes depicted as blue instead of black.
The screenshot has Venom letting out a roar with symbiote goop coming off of his body in multiple directions, evoking a horror movie monster aesthetic.

I don't think I realized just how miserable Shitter was making me feel before I started coming here more often, then occasionally flicked over to see what new fires have started and felt just how night and day it really was. I'm still there for art and stuff occasionally, but I'm not posting there.
