Overall, it looks like Drury and Co. had a solid draft with adding some desperately needed higher end talent to a pretty bare cupboard. The Edstrom trade was inevitable, and Dorofeyev deal was a surprise. Again, my belief is he blew his best chance for Trocheck deal at the deadline but 🤷

The Rangers have traded Adam Edstrom, who struggled with injury and lost his spot in the lineup last season, to Nashville for center Massimo Rizzo and the 148th pick. Rizzo, 25, has never played in the NHL. An RFA, a source said he won't be qualified by the Rangers.

All I can say is that the Rangers absolutely could not afford to trade 3 1st round picks and a 2nd for Brady. A Florida type team (Colorado, Vegas, etc…) sure thing. And it does not matter how much we’ve sucked at drafts.
