“Oh boy, I’m sure this software update will give me exciting new features!”

2cat2curious @2cat2curious.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I ALSO need to probably look at a new microphone, since my ancient Blue snowball is probably making me sound super wack, but for the moment I'm trying a third party cable and hopefully the status quo can be preserved without sending audio signal through cable adapters

I have a usb-a adapter so I can get by, but eventually I'm going to need something new (it's not like my current m500 logitech is THAT great it's just better than most of what's out there) The other device that was fighting for my usb-a is my microphone, but hopefully a device to c cable works

It SEEMS like everything moved over pretty well to the new computer- but now I might be in the market for a new mouse. The options for usb-c corded mice are pretty ass, am I just being stubborn about not wanting a wireless one?

my new computer was delivered woo yaaaay- now, I am not even REMOTELY looking forward to getting all my crap transferred over and I can't even imagine how getting OBS and Vtube Studio moved over is going to go but fingies crossed.

Rosedoodle's 11 year anniversary... my prediction is she takes the chance to update from the San Diego Padres City Connect 2024 colors to the San Diego Padres City Connect 2026 colors.

vtuber Rosedoodle with a jersey and hat from the San Diego Padres baseball team's 2024 city connect collection badly edited onto her. The uniforms have a unique and somewhat divisive turquoise and pink color scheme, which looks a lot like the vtuber's own colors.

vtuber Rosedoodle with a jersey and hat from the San Diego Padres baseball team's 2026 city connect collection VERY badly edited onto her. Her hair and eyes have been edited to match the orange and magenta of the jersey's accents.

how fast can I draw a version of the ironmouse logo that says "the pink girl from fortnite" and then "the one with the cry emote" in smaller text below it and get it made into a shirt hmm...

well I have a ticket at least! I figured they'd be sold out

... might have just spent too much money on ironmouse concert ticket...

The OTHER issue: that stream was recorded the DAY that ironmouse dropped her video about vshojo disappearing her subathon donations to the immunodefense fund, so stuff was changing extremely fast and a lot of it was out of date even as I was saying it.

The first time I did it I included too many, and talked about them all too long. It felt bad leaving anyone out, but for some I just didn’t have much to say which ALSO felt bad. A real lose-lose. It was also probably my first just chatting stream so there was no chat which… yeah.

Upcoming stream plans! I’ve been kicking around the idea of remaking my “am I able to be normal about this vtuber” tierlist from last year and doing it as a drinking stream! It’s a fun chance to talk about creators I like and why!

The stickers for the yellow parts were… fine. I wish it was molded in plastic, but for a kit recolor they can only do so much. It was actually a little difficult to panel line because so many panel lines were used to hide edges of parts. Still, a kit I’d recommend to nearly anyone.

That’s a wrap on Bocata’s Gelgoog! I loved building this gunpla and it’s so fun to pose- it’s really a great combination of simplicity and complexity, and really makes me curious about the rest of the GqX line!

I was planning to drop a surprise short stream to finish the detailing on the Gelgoog but there's a delay that is completely unrelated to Minto Tummy Official™

Kerfus the Bellabot is sadly not a gundam, though it IS a model kit from kotobukiya! (though it's not a particularly good one... it's over $20 for a kit with 6 pieces that I still had to do all kinda of custom work and painting on)

Over the last two streams, short as they may be, I gotta say I have been DIGGING the HG GqX Gelgoog. It’s so bendy, I can’t wait to see what kind of pose I end up going with! Also whoever gifted subs anonymously: you’re a real butt, pal. Let me thank you, you schmuck!

so short version: things are still running hotter than I'd like, and it'll probably impact performance a bit, but I think I can handle a little bit of sub-optimal streaming performance... it IS me after all.

000

2cat2curious @2cat2curious.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I cleaned it up as much as possible for the time being- I don't have the tools right now to fully disassemble everything safely, and with a replacement computer essentially already on the way, there's no reason to risk damaging anything now.

2cat2curious @2cat2curious.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Well ONCE AGAIN I can say that I think I have nailed down part of my computer's performance issues- other than just being old and ready for an upgrade (One is in the works now but it'll be a little bit) part of my cooling system isn't working right (and was also covered in dust- oops)

Short strim over (also minus 15 minutes of inexplicable tech gremlins at the start) We got too caffeinated and yapped for 2 hours and only built a torso. Oops.

Dragged myself out of my hole to go to an acquaintance’s birthday get together despite feeling like crap and spent $20 for an extremely shitty supposedly mezcal margarita (it was well tequila and probably sprite with a rim that tasted like stale Tajin AND sugar)
