I feel like the part of the Saint Selection Exam where one of the contestants fucking APOTHEOSIZES INTO A 6-WINGED ANGEL might just kinda override the need for the point scoring system and the televote.

Scene from episode 11 of The Oblivious Saintess Can't Contain her Power, during a competition to find the most powerful Saintess, the main character pushes her divine power to the limit to try to save her sister's life. In doing so, she grows 6 angel wings and blasts rainbow-hued lights, causing the clergy present to weep and and praise her. Afterwards, the competition resumes and the judges discuss the number of points each contestant had, as if they hadn't just watched one of them blast the arena with holy radiance

Seasonal Anime™ update: finally the Witch Hat Atelier conversation I've been waiting for. "Hey I've tried to get you killed like, twice but you haven't said anything about it yet... what's your angle?" "Oh twice is actually pretty low for people trying to end my life" GIVE COCO A BAZOOKA

Agott and Coco from Witch Hat Atelier having a conversation. In the episode, Coco is returning a pair of enchanted levitating shoes that she borrowed and then damaged during a magic test. Agott coerced/forced Coco into taking the test while their teacher was away, knowing that it was likely to result in the unprepared Coco's death or maiming. She is confused about why Coco has never mentioned this to their teachers and continues to treat her like a friend and colleague despite repeatedly putting her in harm's way.

Oh baby this looks like the MOST generic lameass anime, I am absolutely watching this mediocre crap. Like I I think I watched 3 animes and read 3 mangas the last season with an IDENTICAL plot to this. Hell yeah brother pass the trough.

Orn, once a skilled Swordsman, had adapted to the role of Enchanter to fill a crucial gap in the Hero Party. However, one day, the party leader abruptly dismisses him, claiming his skills are lacking. Brander a "weakling" and a "jack of all trades, master of none," by his former comrades, Orn is cast out without a second thought.

Determined to start anew, he returns to adventuring—this time as a Swordsman, the role he originally excelled in. But his time as an Enchanter was far from wasted. The experience, knowledge, and countless original spells he developed in the Hero Party have forged him into a warrior unlike any other. Now, armed with an unconventional set of skills, Orn is ready to carve his own path—one that will prove his true strength to the world.

I never posted the finished product on the 1/100 Grimgerde #gunpla - it ended up very shiny, but I’m pretty sure I used about half of my new can of gloss topcoat on it.

2cat @2cat.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

Gunpla delivery arrived but sadly no pretty box-photo because the bottle of mark softer leaked about 10% of its contents in transit and the whole box smelled like paint thinner and I had to make sure nothing inside was chemical-y

Guy in a gunpla group posts a picture of a random plamo weapon and asks “what kit is this from and what scale is it?” I immediately recognize it as the rifle from the Edelstein II (it’s on my desk) Next comment after mine is a PARAGRAPHS long chatGPT answer confidently saying it’s the 1/144 Aerial

Progress on the 1/100 Grimgerde! Still needs accessories and probably topcoating of some variety, but damn is it a pretty #gunpla I want to do a full comparison to the 1/144 once I’m all done with this, because they’re surprisingly different!

Extremely on-brand that this is a difficult #gunpla choice for me. Gray chest on the G3 is cooler. Darker blue on the Base Edition is cooler. Darker gray on the G3 looks sharp. Lighter gray in the Base Edition shows the color separation a little better. G3 doesn't have periwinkle nipple-vents.

HG Mack Knife #gunpla - very cool in a few ways but also VERY limited in others. The wrists only swivel back and forth, no alternate hands, only weapons are the laser-battle-manicure.

It's totally cool he was in a HERO PARTY! Though he was kicked out for the girls LIKING HIM TOO MUCH. He even offered to let the girl he bought leave if she wants, which is nice of him since she's a small child with no money or shelter or support network or food so definitely she could just bounce

On the fence with how much of a shot I want to give Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant. It's SUCH a generic fantasyRPG setup plus buying a girl plus unironic YouHaveToEatTheEggs-posting in 2025. Still, fantasy restaurant anime tends to work for me, so maybe once they get it out of their system?

A crying anime girl. She was just purchased by a man and fears for what is about to happen to her now.

the main character of the anime who has just purchased a young girl, but it's okay because we know he's nice. He's saying that he can tell she's been through something, but won't make her tell him about it.

the main character telling the anime girl that she needs to eat. She's hungry, you see.

A reply to a post on 4chan asking what you would do if you found a woman passed out drunk on the street. The reply is attempting to sound helpful and non-threatening, stating they would drag them home and make them breakfast while telling them "you don't have to tell me what happened, but you do have to eat this." The reply was widely mocked, with people claiming that the woman waking up in a strange place with an unknown person trying to feed them would probably not react in a remotely positive way, especially considering the charisma of the average 4chan user.

The No-Grade RX-78F00 Glassfeather #gunpla is DONE. The art for the kit shows a lot of varieties of gray color separation that the kit just doesn't have, so I put a LOT of paint on here. Oh also I made the wings rainbow because... I mean why WOULDN'T I?

Seasonal Anime™ Go Go Loser Ranger ep 16: I was hoping the time-loop school arc was ending this episode but it looks like we're stuck there for another episode minimum. Even so, good episode! Fighter D actually gets a chance to be kinda evil and an enemy is defeated by kissing. You love to see it.
