Just know anything I write and get out into the world for the next four months minimum is, a little extra than usual, a minor miracle I am churning through sheer force of will.

Still love this Noroi piece I did last year.

Original artwork based on Koji Shiraishi's Noroi. Two figures obscured in blood and shadow. 'Noroi' is written in Japanese in the center of the frame.

Another very important thread from one of my faves in the game. I still feel new in ways because of how my schedule makes me operate. It’s comforting to be reminded we’re all in it together and as long as you love it you’re still in the game. 🧵

Coping with an absolute bullshit turn from life by churning out Fantastic Fest reviews, and while I may not have gotten to watch as many as I like to at festivals because of Circumstances, what I have gotten to has been almost exclusively bangers for the weirdos and freaks. Thanks, movies.

Is Mark Duplass on here. I gotta talk to him about season 3 episode 4 of Creep Tapes.

I’m going to scream in the shower When I come out remember: the best way to survive this shit and honor them is to be more like Dolly, and more like Tim. Be unapologetically yourself; protect & respect marginalized voices; read as much as you can, esp to children; work with causes you believe in.

Was just telling my roommate about this and hoping it doesn’t go away. Kids need books and not everyone’s family can afford them. We need to open the libraries and keep Dolly’s library open at all costs.

Why do you think the synopsis for NIGHTBORN goes “Rupert Grint (Harry Potter)” and not “Rupert Grint (The Servant)”. I know the answer is probably it’s his touchstone role but I’m just saying there were other options.

I read Daphne Du Maurier’s JAMAICA INN for the first time between yesterday and today for reasons and also because we could always read more Du Maurier, and then I watched the Hitchcock adaptation (?) and I have simply never felt a film trying to race itself to the finish line like that one.

Incidents Around the House was one of the most atom-deep disturbing things I read last year, so to hear the film adaptation trailer is working the same magic on Odyssey goers. “Other Mommy” is a snappier title but the heart knows.
