Our Call of Cthulhu game’s current scenario has us teaming up with my character’s old college friend, Herbert West. So I’ve been trying to figure out how to draw this ridiculous nerd.

Herbert West, a nerdy scientist, drawn with a self satisfied smile on his face.

[oc] last october I stumbled on a Grosstober prompt list by cursehole on tumblr and decided to put together a little visual for it since the only one going around was in Russian. Anyway, here's a thread of what I drew for it with corresponding days in alt [gore and sensitive content cw]

A prompt list for the grosstober challenge. The prompts are: bruises, stab wounds, slit throat, decapitation, exposed guts, amputation, suffocated, hacked to bits, parasitic, infection, tumors, skinned, road kill, eten alice, melting, sewn back together, vomit, poisoned, teeth, dissection, tortured, mutated, electrocution, frost bite, sacrificed, burned alive, putrefaction, advanced decay, botched surgery, experiment subject and exorcism. Original list is by cursehole on tumblr.

day 1: bruises. A young man with pink hair smiles at the camera while pulling up his sweater, showing his bruised torso. He is slumped against the wall, his nose is bleeding and his pants are pulled down, showing the erection behind his boxer briefs. There is trash on the floor and we can see a bit of the shoe of the person taking the picture.

day 2: stab wounds. A young man (same as day 1) with pink hair lies on the concrete floor, his head cradled by bloody hands with heavy scar burns. He has multiple fresh stab wounds across his torso and his arms and he is wearing only white boxer briefs. His shirt and jeans are scattered on the floor nearby along with a few cigarette butts and a bloody folding knife. He has a slight smile and is looking up at the person holding his head with one eye, the other is bruised closed.

day 3: slit throat. A young man with heavy burn scars on his hands is embracing another man from behind. He is holding a knife in his right hand and is shallowly slitting the other man's throat, who has is arms up and is embracing him in return, head lifted to look at him. There is a thin trail of blood running down his naked torso from the cut. The burned man with the knife is wearing a long sleeve, black shirt and has long, grey wavy hair that hide his face. The other has black, medium lenght hair and multiple scars on the bottom on his face. He is smiling. The background behind them is a vivid, almost abstract closeup of raw red meat.

Maybe a post about Simon?? Since I use my art of him as an icon on my socials. He's a Herbert West-coded D&D character I made for a sort of gag-campaign a few months ago. So he's like boyfailure Herbert if Herbert was even more boyfailure 🤷‍♂️
