No patreon post this week! My flight to Japan was canceled due to a typhoon and then my hard drive corrupted! See you on the other side (Japan) next week.

I’m getting older, I’m broke, and I’m no longer willing to be the weird old guy at a basement show full of 20-somethings. So how do I find new music? I let Den Tapes do the work. I photographed Den Fest 5 and wrote a little bit about the bands that blew me away. Patreon.com/HEELFACE

Everything is getting so much more expensive. Printing HEEL/FACE has DOUBLED in price since I started the magazine almost 2 years ago. I should probably raise the price but this magazine is one of the only things I can control how much it costs, so I'm holding out still on raising the price.

HEEL/FACE VOL. 5 is selling really well and that's sick because I busted my ass on this one and also have to put down all the money to print them up front. I was nervous about the cover not being a super famous celebrity but I'm really happy people are digging a more personal cover story.
