On St. Bartholomew's Day, the classic Book of Common Prayer has Sirach 24 as the first lesson. It's a paean to wisdom, personified as a woman (just like Proverbs 8), with incarnational themes (cf. Sirach 24:8 and John 1:14). Here's a fitting prayer for wisdom:

June 29: Saint Peter’s Day. This feast began in Rome in AD 258 during a time of great persecution of the church. Originally it was a feast for the martyrdom of both St. Peter and St. Paul, who were also celebrated individually on other days.
