Thanks to our colleagues from around the world who signed the Open Letter against redundancies in CRAB. The letter surpassed 700 signatures in just over 1 wk. We hope execs will now see the harm they are doing to the University of Exeter's global reputation. sites.google.com/view/save-cr...

Across the natural world, there are many fascinating ways in which animals, including humans, work together. In a new blog, @14katie41.bsky.social and some of her co-authors on a new review discuss how different animal species ‘talk’ to each other to make cooperation work 👇

It was a real pleasure to co-lead this review, which brings together ideas from across the animal cooperation literature and 58 authors from different career stages and disciplines. We explore how communication shapes cooperation between animals and what we can learn from different systems 🐜🐠🦐🐦‍⬛🐬👩‍🔬.

Honoured to be joining the next cohort of @ukri.org BBSRC Fellows! Excited to kick off my project asking whether signalling promotes cooperative cleaner-client interactions (with the help of robotic fish 🐟🤖)! Hugely grateful for all the support, advice, and encouragement that’s helped me get here!

From lots of color to no color at all! Meet the Midnight Angelfish (Centropyge nox). Yes, it's a real fish, and it's common in shallow coral-rich areas of the western Pacific. I photographed this one in Batangas, Philippines. #ichthyology
