I've had the pleasure of leading environment art on the official Kpop Demon Hunters Roblox video game! this was a lot of fun! I loved recreating the environments from the film while keeping performance in mind, and I think we NAILED it!

i know this is likely being done in preparation for makeup and some other nebulous future plans for avatar tech but I really can't get behind this. the status quo is fine and people are happy with it. if you want us to change, then *prove* your new tech is better.

speaking as a Roblox native game developer, I want to make non f2p games that don't nickel and dime people but the risk feels too high. considering trying it for my own upcoming game but I feel like "0 cost to try a new game" is too valuable to leave behind, and there's no native system for demos.

frankly I think this is the strongest point- old trickery like baked lighting looks great untill you have stuff that moves and suddenly your shading doesn't match the scene. (basic doors in source for example)
