Several years back, I was lucky enough to be part of a Tim Curry tribute art show at the old Creature Features shop in Burbank. I had the honor of meeting him that night. It was one of the best art shows I was part of and will always remember that night. Rest well Mr. Curry.

At 100, there's no question that Mel Brooks is foundational. His films and comedy have quite literally shaped pop culture. Just as important, I feel, was his work producing films for artists like Lynch and Cronenberg. Championing those with visions different than his own to the benefit of us all.

Director Daniel Goldhaber, writer Isa Mazzei, and stars Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery at an advanced screening of Faces Of Death. I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I've only seen the original once and remember it being kinda "eh"
