Best With Friends: Marvel Rivals
Best Retro Game: Tempest
Nostalgic Childhood Game: Mario Tennis GBC (the story mode at the tennis academy has a special place in my heart)

second favorite party, aka "hamuko & her boys whomst are back in town"

screenshot of a (slightly modded, to change background colors) all-out-attack screen from Persona 3 Portable, featuring (clockwise, starting from the top) the female protagonist (Hamuko/Minako/Kotone), Koromaru, Akihiko, and Shinjiro, with red, white, scarlet, and maroon behind them, respectively. A large pair of red exclamation marks is in the center of the screen.

having important discussions with the wife and SIL tonight 👁👄👁

a screenshot of the creepy toddler-age doll/cgi Renesmee from the Twilight movies. Her eyes are bizarrely large for her face, as well as further apart than feels correct for her size of face.
I would describe her gaze as "haunting."

a screenshot of the original (separate/far-apart eyes, generally-publicly-lambasted) uncanny Sonic the Hedgehog live action movie design. He is yelling as if startled.

Without downloading any new pics, where are you mentally?

2-panel meme image. Both panels are the same scene (someone in thorough camouflage/mask/goggles turned around in their seat to look back at the camera, riding atop a vehicle, ruined buildings in the background), but the second panel is more zoomed in on the figure's face
First panel reads "Hey friend remember when I told you things were going to get worse?"
Second panel reads "They're getting worse now."

been playing a lot of Two Point Museum lately and it's really good, but uh...

a Two Point Museum screenshot, in the midst of setting up an expedition to "Remedial Springs" for a staff member with the "Seasickness" illness. The staff member also has the trait "Sea Legs" which has the description "Immunity to 'Seasickness' expedition events"

so true, bestie 👥 Readers added context they thought people might like to know: 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵

screenshot from the game "Two Point Museum" of a space expedition Dilemma, choice, and its outcome.
Title: Say Cheese
Dilemma: As the expedition trudges through Mozzastella's fondue marshalnds, one of your explorers is suddenly sucked into a cheese sink hole.
Choices: Leave Them, Pull them out, or Eat the molten cheese
("Eat the molten cheese" was selected)
Result: The time it takes to consume a sinkhole of burning hot cheese shouldn't be underestimated, but some sacrifices are worth making.
Consequences: Expedition Time: +3 Days, Injury [to one staff member on the expedition] (Fondue Shoes)

Ok, hear me out. A Lord of the Rings remake, but with these two taking the One Ring to Mordor.

my favorite hobby is sending my wife weird blingees 🧡

screenshot of a short discord chat exchange between myself and my partner, including a Blingee gif of Shadow the Hedgehog and Amy that says "I love you" in hot pink cursive

screenshot of a few discord messages in a row i sent my partner that includes a gif of, apparently, two professional baseball players kissing on the field, with cutesy rainbow text that reads "Thinking about u" and a heart shape being drawn by two cartoonish glove hands

screenshot of a discord exchange with myself and my partner that includes a Blingee with several different kittens, a starry sky, roses, and "i love you" in white cursive text

screenshot of a discord exchange between myself and my partner that includes a blingee-style gif that says "I ❤️ MY GIRLFRIEND"
The text exchange also includes me saying, "Aw man, I wanna make blingees about u"

finally sat down and watched Hotel Artemis tonight and a) Impeccable writing, acting, filming, etc. Loved it. b) Good LORD, the setting and much of the related events feel alarmingly realistic/well within the realm of possibility

movie poster/cover for Hotel Artemis (2018)
tagline: No guns. No cops. No killing the other patients
cast members listed: Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, Dave Bautista

praying that 2025 is the year that the girls will finally stop fighting 🙏

Spotted at Goodwill today. I thought it was a beefy, flexing Santa at first.

photo of a Goodwill shelf full of christmas decorations, centering on a homemade(?) piece comprised of two thick, crossed candy canes made of tinsel with a Santa head on top (flowy woolen beard that spills down over the candy canes, a tiny portion of visible face with the tiny eyes and nose, and a big, whimsical red plaid hat with a sprig of holly)
It kind of looks like the candy canes could be the body that goes with the head, but I think it's just meant to be candy canes, distinct from the head lol

hell yeah I'm in his top .05%, he's been my main sleepytime music since I was, like, an infant.

oh, lmao. I was supposed to add images of the namesakes. Cookie is a rescue cat we adopted in 2020. We were waffling over names, and we also happened to have the squishmallow named Cookie nearby, and obviously, she's c&c colors. Griddle's a stray who appeared, screaming, on our doorstep.

🍳 Griddle, named for Gideon's nickname in the Locked Tomb series (obv not a ginger but there's orange undertones in her fur). Plus, she has a similar lack of self-preservation instincts. 🍪 And Cookie, like cookies & cream. It's not the most creative, but I love a simple food name for a pet.

Photo of a short-haired, mostly-black tuxedo cat lounging on a coffee table.

A photo of the same tuxedo cat folded up on herself, laying on a cat scratcher shaped like a couch. She's lounging in a bright sunbeam from the window behind her. The sun is making the orange undertones in her fur visible.

A photo of a long-haired mostly-white cat with black splotches lounging on a computer chair.

A photo of the same mostly-white cat curled up cutely (with her head upside down) on a cat scratcher shaped like a couch. Treats and catnip are scattered on the table in front of her.

💕 🐱 my girlies 🐱 💕 🍳 griddle & cookie 🍪

Photo of a small, short-haired cat peeking down over a ledge at the camera. The cat is mostly black, with white visible on their paws that also peek slightly over the edge. The cat also has copious amounts of white whiskers.

Photo of a cat from outside a sliding glass door, as well as a rainbow (shape and color) doormat and what appears to be a little pumpkin-headed skeleton decoration in a corner near the door. The cat is the same mostly black tuxedo cat from the previous photo, and she is open-mouthed while meowing at the photo taker, despite being behind a solid glass door. The halloween decoration is comprised of a white pumpkin decorated with ink to look like a cartoony/jack-o-lantern skull, and is placed upon a short and squat body-shaped plastic stand which is mostly black with a white, cartoonish skeleton body depicted on it.

A photo (from a slight distance) of a long-haired mostly-white-with-black-splotches cat gazing at the camera while lounging in a sunbeam from a window in an open-looking area on a carpeted living-room floor.

A photo of the same long-haired mostly-white-with-black-splotches cat from the previous photo, curled up cutely on a cardboard cat scratcher shaped like a miniature couch. Her eyes are open and staring at the photo-taker. There are some small dry treats and some catnip scattered on the table that the scratcher is placed upon.
