"Very, it's likely she could've been surprised, but she's definitely alive." Shielding herself in a heat barrier. "Her ability is pretty unique."

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 26/06/2025

Continuing on. "There's an ally here; she must be hurt."

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 26/06/2025

"Hold." She says. "He's a friend. He's just sick."

Mana has never had to sense intent. Her reaction speed has guided her throughout a countless number of ambushes.

Clueless. When the giant purple dragon emerges from the treeline, she braces rather than attacking.

Mana swipes a few ballista bolts out of the air, looking up at a floating platform. She signals to it, then continues forward.

"Your super vegetables will do a lot for you." Flopping over and chillin'.

She flies back down after seeing him clear a couple areas. "This way." Going to the Low Road

000

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 05/06/2025

She smiles, her tail wagging. "I thought you could handle it, I'm sorry."

000

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

"No problem." She pulls out a second one to drink it. "What do you usually eat?"

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

She dances around while making her food, whatever that means to him.

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

It's terribly strong, just huge chunks of garlic swimming in some thick, white cheese broth.

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

"Garlic cheese soup." Smiling and wagging her tail. "I made it myself."

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

"Garlic, kale, onions, broccoli, all of them." She gives him a thermos. "Here."

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

"I love meat." Mana smiles and spins around. "I just make sure to eat a lot of the really good vegetables."

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

"Vegetables." Bloody thumbs up. "The superfoods and shit."

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 29/05/2025

"My long life will be because I ate good." She doesn't know. "And all that other stuff I found... But it'll be pleasant because I ate good."

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

She's not much special, just very tall. "He just got old, didn't want to extend his life like I did." Mana makes a sphere of energy in her hand, red with a yellow center. "I found out how to eat right when I was young."

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"I did, but he's dead now." She scratches her head. "I don't remember much, though, he just told me to keep going."

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"I just kinda worked." She touches her nose. "I'm sixty-three years old."

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"Yes." Holding him by his head and dashing to Avalon.

000

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

It was her wedding dress. "What do you wanna talk about?" She flicks her tail around.

100

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"She did." Mana nods, rubbing her chin. "You're pretty strong, so if you want to go together, we can."

000

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"Hey." She uses telekinesis to float her dress over and put it on. "What's up?"

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

His meditatiom makes her head snap up. She flings herself forward, spinning on her head, then bending herself so her feet touch the ground and she can upright her form.

Her ears go down, the fluff inside them sticking out from under. She rolls over in her bucket, but is much too big for it.

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

She's just out on this asteroid. This bucket has her name on it.

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"I bought it." She puts it over her shoulder. "I'm on my way to a place called Avalon, they kinda need help."

000

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

Passed out in a bath bucket, naked and holding her giant macaroni.

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

"Not sure, I just felt you." She wipes some of the dirt off of her dress and smiles. "What's up? I'm Mana!" The manticore whips out a thumbs up, spraying him with blood.

ᴜɴᴘʀᴏғᴇssɪᴏɴᴀʟ @0nceandfuture.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

Catching Ezra as he goes by. "Oh." Dropping him and shaking her head. "Sorry, I just didn't know what you were."

Getting her payment from a mission, then bashing the guy's head off with her tail. Taking the money from his desk.
