alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 25/09/2026maybe a brand identity refresh, some good ads, and fixing discover would do the trick? although i’m not sure if they’re feature parity compared to other apps to go that far, i know that was the problem with a lot of people who came and left after the big election wave 010
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 25/09/2026therefore some people don’t want to give it a first or second try. and if they did, the first thing someone who doesn’t have an account would see is the discover feed and well… 🫠 without an account it’s like facebook. and even with an account its still not great, and that’s the first impression. 211
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 25/09/2026i’m not sure if communities will solve much of anything if the general public doesn’t know bluesky exists, and people who know of it but stayed on twitter have a misconstrued view of it. and others who tried bsky but went back to twitter don’t come back because they got a bad taste of it 110
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 22/09/2026oh i didn't realize it was supposed to be 2021 twitter since it has all of the 2022 iconography, but looking back at some old screenshots the navigation icons are still slightly raised, nav icon colors were set to the accent color you used and then around 2022 it was changed to the white/black look 000
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 22/09/2026instagram prioritizing reels over photos was probably the worst thing that could have happened. like give me my square grid back i don’t want to watch videos on my photo app 020
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 22/09/2026one more nitpick… compared to twitter the icons on the navigation bar are slightly elevated and the bar itself is shorter than not twitter’s 110

alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 21/09/2026also the context for a tweet doesn't appear in the actual timeline, like if it was a reply to another post 200
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 21/09/2026first thing i noticed was this weird misalignment in the tweet composer and a few nitpicks like the line separating the feeds and the font for selected feeds being too bold compared to twitter, also the top bar doesn't disappear as you scroll 120
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 21/09/2026works great! just a few little things are bothering me but im sure it’s nothing that won’t be fixed :) 110

alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 16/09/2026like this app has all the basics down but none of the little things that make everything come together 000
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 16/09/2026they should really hire a design studio who can refresh the brand if they want to run ads. maybe something similar to twitter's short lived "grunge" visual refresh. since not many people want to give bluesky a second try 010
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 16/09/2026i'm sure they've thought about running ads but maybe they're holding off until they're feature parity to twitter. but even if they did run ads, the only identity they have right now is one that's misconstrued by people on twitter who tried it back in 2024. 120
alexander @0crm.bsky.social · 16/09/2026i hate that bluesky has no brand/visual identity, there's no personality at all. they definitely have bigger problems to worry about like adding private accounts, and implementing features that'll get people to join but you'd be surprised by the amount of people that don't even know bluesky exists 220
