Trump has no coherent reason for this new tariff. Canada has bent over backwards to give Trump everything he wants and more. Despite some high-minded words at Davos about the need for "middle powers" to decouple from the USA, PM Mark Carney has given Trump everything he could ask for. 12/

Somehow, I give far more weight to the opinions of one who has worked in government and finances his whole life, is an Oxford scholar and who was hired by the UK to oversee their economy, over the views of one who has no expertise or inside knowledge. Call me crazy.
