You could hardly ask for a better example of investing in vibes over value than shutting down *real* cancer research to free up money for teaching more words to the word-guessing machine because it's about to become God and cure cancer. 11/

Half of human cognition is emotional attachment to reality. Profit motive turns emotional empathy OFF so it can happily extract life from Earth without guilt. LLMs are TRAINED on profit motive. You can't profit AND save the world. The ACT of profiting is converting life into death for power.

I am no economist, but this thread encapsulates everything I think about Musk and valuation. Why is the world's richest man not the one whose service delivers half the crap or makes most of the phones, or made the bad OS that runs most computers, or the search engine that dominates Earth?

Yeah, there seems to be a weapons sales angle with the threat of it living up to the hype, otherwise it's the evolution of Windows where the user isn't such a big part of the program...?
