If Canada was ever going to be a real country (not just two monopolists and a mining company in a trenchcoat) it *needed* a serious competition enforcer. Nominally, it has one, thanks to 2024's Competition Act. The only problem is Carney, who made sweeping cuts to the Bureau's funding.
