weird that OpenAI's SynthID/C2PA checker isn't able to detect a Google-generated image, but Google's "checker" (built into Gemini, which is a problem in itself) can detect OpenAI seemingly only through C2PA signals and not SynthID

i put checker in quotes with Gemini because several times I prompted asking if the image was legit and it would go through its normal LLM stuff rather than going through the "Verify AI" tool. really really bad idea for Google to stick their verifier in the same place as the chatbot imo
