I started reading Memetic because I generally love Tynion's works. I read the first issue and honestly thought the concept was interesting and unique, but kind of strained and couldn't really see it going anywhere interesting. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memetic...

The premise is that suddenly a new meme of a happy sloth appears on Reddit that inexplicably gives everyone who sees it a feeling of euphoria so extremely that they can't stop looking at it or thinking about it, and feel compelled to share with others and make them see it too.

Only, after 24 hours, suddenly everyone who has seen it suddenly loses their shit, starts bleeding out of their eyes, screaming non-stop, and violently attacking anyone near them that has not turned. Given what has just happened to America, I can't help but see the parallel.
