James @freemonster80.bsky.social · 19/08/2026I think some of it is nostalgia (it was my first new Sonic Youth album as a fan when it came out) but I will say I have the opposite experience as you do; every time I revisit I’m amazed at how much I connect with it. 110
Wiz Ball @wizball50.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I wish I felt the same. I really do want to like it. I have a very similar relationship with it as I do with Monster by R.E.M., another band I love. In both cases I was blown away by the lead single and then massively disappointed with the album that followed. 110
