doing some reflecting ahead of closing night…

Text on top of a photo of the Eras Tour crowd: In 5th grade, I wrote in my diary that I'd decided Taylor Swift would be my favorite artist forever, which was perhaps a bold declaration for a 10-year-old. But this weekend, I'm spending my 25th birthday at the final night of The Eras Tour, and I haven't changed my mind.

It hit me this year just how many moments and choices in my life have been at least partially inspired by Taylor. Her music fostered a community that brought me to some of my closest friends. Her lyrics shaped the way I thought about certain situations, and I found new ways to resonate with them over the years. She created worlds where people feel understood. She proved the value in brazen hope and authenticity, and the power in unapologetically experiencing your feelings.

The Eras Tour is the culmination of every lyric I wrote on my childhood bedroom walls, every song I learned to play on guitar, every friendship that stemmed from Taylor-inspired inside jokes. I couldn't be more excited that all the stars aligned and I get to experience it all one last time 🖤
