ABC and Disney sued the FCC on Tuesday. Networks do not sue the agency that renews their licenses. The FCC called eight ABC station licenses up for early renewal on April 28, the day after Trump demanded Jimmy Kimmel be fired. None of them were due. The part nobody's covering: under 47 U.S.C. § 307(d), the Commission can't grant a renewal more than 30 days before a license expires. Nothing stops it from denying one early. So the only outcome legally available in that proceeding is a bad one. objectioneverything.substack.com/p/objection-...
