Good Morning ☀️ #Montana #scape

The Montana morning begins beneath a broad, unsettled sky. Heavy blue-gray clouds stretch across the upper horizon, their ragged lower edges broken by smaller drifting clouds touched faintly with lavender and rose. Beneath them, the eastern sky gathers into bands of peach, coral, and deep crimson, the color intensifying sharply where the sun reaches the distant ridge.

Only a narrow sliver of the sun is visible, a molten yellow-orange edge caught between the dark hills and a bank of glowing red cloud. From that small opening, scarlet light spreads outward along the horizon, illuminating thin streaks of cloud until they seem almost incandescent against the cooler sky above.

Below, Montana’s open grassland remains largely in shadow. Long, rolling ridges overlap in muted layers of charcoal, brown, and blue, while scattered evergreens stand dark and solitary across the slopes. In the foreground, the highway curves quietly through the prairie, its pale edge lines and double yellow centerline leading directly toward the distant sunrise.

It is a distinctly Montana scene—immense sky above open country, the land still dark and subdued while a remarkably narrow band of fire announces the coming day.
