THE UNYIELDING MONSIEUR DE BLANC MEXICAN GOTHIC x STARLING HOUSE Dark Southern Gothic w/ Horror elements. 🕯️An orphan seeking security ⌛An immortal man bound by a curse 📰A marriage notice that is a trap Nellie must choose: her heart or her survival #QuestPit #Q #A #HR #H #DR

A dark teal and black patterned card for THE UNYIELDING MONSIEUR DE BLANC. The background has vintage deep shades of pink and purple roses on the top of the frame. Centered is a small hourglass made with bones and a skull symbolizing the immortal + horror elements of the story. There is a note on there that the story is 70,000 words and a Dark Southern Gothic with Horror Elements.

A pitch slide with a deep teal background and black magnolia patterns. A skull with purple and pink roses and more deep pink and purple roses act as decorations. The pitch reads: "The Unyielding Monsieur de Blanc follows Nellie Moore in 1872, lured to a New Orleans estate by a marriage notice promising security. There, she encounters a man as captivating as he is complex, a man bound by a curse that has kept him alive for over a century.
As an impossible attraction sparks, Nellie’s search for the truth reveals that some secrets are meant to stay buried, and some doors, once opened, can never be closed again."

Two book covers adorn the card with deep teal and black magnolia patterns, pink and purple roses framing the bottom.
MEXICAN GOTHIC - The atmostpheric dread and family legacy.
STARLING HOUSE - A cursed, burdened hero

Teal and black magnolia patterns in the background along with a pink and purple rose decoration in the top right corner. Other images include, a candlestick with a burning flame, a pocket watch, a burned newspaper with a woman dressed in 19th century attire. The card includes a snippet of the book as below:

Nellie cleared her throat, and he turned slowly. His broad shoulders squared as he measured her with gray, unflinching eyes.

“I do not care for shadows in my doorway. Step forward.”

Nellie could not speak for a moment. Such a man naturally commanded her. He seemed powerful, severe, and entirely too confident. “I—I beg your pardon, sir,” she stuttered, her voice small in the vast room. “I am Nellie Moore.”

A brief unreadable softness touched his features before he stiffened, his expression once again a mask of stone. “I am Monsieur de Blanc, or Mr. De Blanc, as you Americans prefer.”

His thick French accent was like bourbon; it was smooth, but with a burn that unsettled her. Nellie stared, stunned. This was him, the man she was to marry. She had expected someone older, not this gentleman in his late twenties with a face so...strikingly symmetrical.

“Do find your breath, Mademoiselle. I have enough to manage today without adding a fainting spell to the afternoon’s agenda. I’ve never had much patience for delicate women.”

The insult was a splash of frigid water, bringing her back to herself. The orphan inside of her who spent her days scrubbing floors and managing unruly children suddenly bubbled to the surface. She adjusted the lace on her shoulders and met his gaze with a leveled stare that mirrored his own coldness.

“You needn’t worry, sir,” she said, her voice surprisingly crisp. “I am merely trying to reconcile the man in front of me with the one I was promised in the letters.”

A flicker of mild interest passed over his face. “Is that so?” he murmured, arms folded tightly. “Fortune favors you, then. I am not the man from your letters.”
