Had a really great hunt this evening in a spot we haven't checked in a long time. #fossilhunting

A collection of brown, gray, and cream-colored fossils. Most of them are shark teeth, with at least five species represented. Two are notably large. There are also some vertebrae from fish and some sting ray mouth-plate pieces.

Very cool. Have you ever been to Aurora NC? It's famous for its ancient shark teeth, particularly Megalodon. There's a phosphate mine nearby and they dump overburden in the town square, which is usually loaded with shark teeth.

I've been hearing stories about Aurora for decades, but I've never actually been! I'd love to go with a mineral society or something and maybe get close to the quarry it's all coming from.
