Monday Morning value sketches. #drawing #marker #sketch

Gray-scale marker drawing of a set of apartments in Whitehall, New York. A large structure with white vinyl siding sets to the left, decompartmentalizing itself into apartment units and garages to the right. In the center, a staircase rising obliquely under a small overhang to an enclosed entry on the second story. In the foreground is an empty parking lot and a little plot of grass.

Gray-scale marker drawing of a barn in Whiting, Vermont. A large, steel roofed barn enters from the right, the sun bright above. Attached to the barn is a small enclosure, makeshift in design and use of material. In the foreground runs gravel and dirt with patches of grass remaining from untouched vehicle tread. In the background, a silo peaks out.

Gray-scale marker drawing of the back of buildings along Main Street in downtown Middlebury, Vermont. A clamor of structures, added on and improved over many decades, crowd together behind a cement embankment and black steel fencing. Walls of shadow alternate with sunlit facades as windows of various sizes dot along the landscape of brick and stucco. Steeples rise in the background from buildings unseen.
