Col de la Schlucht & Sentier des Roches, October 2022. Relieved I didn't have to do the precipitous part in a long frock. Part of the path runs along the 1871 boundary between France and Elsaß-Lothringen. The bornes frontières [stones marking the frontier] are still there.

This is the view in June looking down the Vallée de Munster. In certain light and humidity, the Alps are visible, over 100 km away. Seeing the distant Alps never fails to awe me. I heavily edited the second photo in monochrome to show what I could just see without binoculars.
