The main idea of this piece—and many similar op-eds published recently—is that to win voters Democrats need to embrace "green economic populism." We need bold climate policy + everything from "universal health insurance to universal prekindergarten and affordable child care."

Thanks for engaging. 1st: Disagree that Biden was a populist. Populism is about policies + *politics* (relationship to a mobilized based, leadership style, 'us' vs 'them' - for left it's '99%' vs 1%) etc. And there's empirical evidence that it matters (see this research t.co/wSkDOle5Bp) 1/3
