In short energy independence is more often than not a pipe dream. I'm not even opposed to nuclear, I just find it fascinating how tech people got convinced that battery tech is super insurmountable when there is innovation daily and nuclear is super duper easy and inexpensive and independent

I am not even opposed to solar and renewables, I just find it fascinating how lay people got convinced that nuclear is not safe when we have all the data and numbers, when the tech pushes forward even without all the funding given to renewables, and that they are without their own sets of problems.

I mean, I'm more unconvinced of its economical feasibility without the government investment. Which I'm not opposed to, but it seems is not happening right now
