I teach hypnosis from the frame of mutual consent and understanding. All of my educational posts really should come with the preface: Only to be done when you are an informed, consenting party, doing this with someone who you are comfortable with and trust sufficiently enough to do this with.

Consent in kink is really, really important. Consent and safety, if you don't have those, then you don't have kink - you have crime. And consent in kink can look overt or covert. You can be beaten too hard past a red, sure, but you can also be given the "c'mon, a little more, a little more" shit.

With hypnosis, the problem arises that it can be *so covert that you don't even know it's happening*. We are all, at our fundamental cores, animals. The human psyche can be trained and conditioned just as well as any other animal's - our intelligence doesn't save us from our instincts.
