I'm proud of all of you. I don't think enough people here hear that enough. Whether you're an artist or an author, a reader, theorizer, fan, gawker, lurker, whatever. I'm proud of you for being here today. I'm proud of you for reading these words. I know it's not easy for any of us these days.

But I really am proud of you all. If you're here reading this, it means you're alive. And being alive is the greatest rebellion we have. Being alive is sometimes all we can hope for. But it's a big thing to hope for, because not everyone gets to have it. Not everyone can read this today.
