It's going to sound stupid and corny. But I think the answer is love. Love, trust, compassion, communication, interest. You can't really do anything to fix what you've fucked up in the past. You can't really change what you've done other than trying to better yourself. But you're doing that.

If you're a good person at your core, you are *already working on yourself* after something like Going Too Far. If you did something in a scene and you're dropping hard, or if you fucked up and did actually cause harm, if you're a good person and you actually did something wrong... you're fixing it.

Just by nature of being a good person. If you Went Too Far, if you did actually go past your own limits as a domme, if you went past the sub's limits, whatever it might look like - if you did something worth correction and you know it, I know you're already woking on it. You can't help it, really.

Worrying and feeling like shit about it is step one. Getting caught up in that and turning it in self-flagellation is *not* step two, as tempting as it is (trust me, I've been there). Resolving to strive to never make that mistake again and doing better going forward *is* step two.
