Domme drop, domme trauma, and dommebuilding: a rant about the mental health of dommes. I think that the mental health of dommes isn't talked about enough in the kink sphere at all. I know here we talk about it a lot, and I *often* rant about how much domme drop is involved in hypnosis specifically.

In hypnosis, especially when you get really deep into it and start playing with genuine ego-death and personality modifications. Even with negotiations, even with clear consent and boundaries, sometimes you as the domme will literally watch as someone's consciousness *vanishes* because of you.

Yes it's temporary, yes it's fairly controlled, and to even be doing that I'd expect both parties to be really really experienced and confident. BUT. You, as the domme, are still witnessing the existential erasure of an entire person, and *you caused that*. You did that. You can see it clearly.
