The hypnosis? Consented to. The scenes? Negotiated. The overall control and obsession? One hundred and ten percent mutual, and thoroughly discussed to death to make it appropriate for both sides. Neither dommes nor subs are fetish dispensers, and none of this is "easy". It takes work. Lots of it.

To get deep into the really fucked up things, you need to have absolute mutual trust, and the room for miscommunication is basically non-existent. And that doesn't take away from things like surprises! Master surprises me with things all the time. But surprises are always negotiated things.

You can have surprise without crossing into dangerous territory. You can talk beforehand, just about general brush strokes and touchpoints. Touch base about limits, make sure you know your safewords, make sure that there's enough time on the far side of it for sub drop AND domme drop!
