Book Review Woodworking by Emily St.James Absolutely stunning piece of work! Go read this book! Attached are some of my favorite thoughts and a brief summary of my thoughts. For more go follow my storygraph and insta. #booksky #bookreview #queerbooks #transbooks

A photo of an exterior wall with the words “trans is divine” written on it and a blurb of my opinion on the book.
“A 6 star read! What an incredible and addictive read. This book examines community, womanhood, patriarchy, oppression, trans identity and so much more.”

A trans flag hanging in a window and the shadow of a house plant against it.
Over lapping are 3 quotes I found impactful from the book.
“To be more oneself, she realizes now, can be seen as a great violence by anyone who thinks they understand how the world works. Or how you work.”
“You are a promise you make to yourself. It’s called woodworking.”
“…her body was not a tomb to die in but a foundation to build upon.”
