Alt: In a scene from Poltergeist, 1982. A little girl (Carol Ann) in a blue dress is looking at a television screen with a yellow octopus on it. A ghost hand reaches out of the TV and touches her hand. Little Carol Ann recoils at the ghost’s touch. My parents took me to see it in the theater after I begged them incessantly. I was too young, and not prepared.
