An add-on to this: I also read @emilyrcwilson.bsky.social’s CROSSING THE WINE-DARK SEA this week, and I could feel it making me more attentive to language with every page. I can’t recommend it strongly enough.

A reminder that reading takes practice too. I’m rereading a book I’ve taught 7 times and it’s like I’ve never truly read it before.
