This is obviously anecdotal, but a lot of respectable ML/AI online courses, often free, just don't have US folks in the forums, discords etc. I know first thing should be making sure people have basic computer literacy etc. by the way, which industry? 110

We've seen exciting machine learning advances in processing images, xrays, scans, etc. I've done a free course or 2, but I'm not an engineer, I'm a writer, so I approach these looking for very different takeaways than engineers do. 110
