How do you guarantee that template DNA is consistently fragmented into lengths that work well for bridge amplification and reliable spot detection? Is the flow cell loaded with a huge excess of transposase?

Interesting. Is there a distribution or read lengths, and is it possible to use them beyond mapping strategies, i.e. de novo assembly?
