You would run into conflict at a local level when trying to get plans for new homes approved if you weren't providing the local services for the people moving to the new homes.

Trying to reverse the Future Home Standard (which requires new homes to be off gas from next year) would, I think, save very little money as the sector has been preparing for it for some time and is already building a large proportion of new homes to these standards.

I think we learnt from Griffiths’ media round that house building targets were bad, councillors will be able to vote against new houses so leafy villages will not have their fields built on. And presumably, the ‘house building crisis’ (his words) will be solved through magic
