I love this era's psychedelia. Uncanny X-men 96.

X-men panel. Xavier attempts to dive into the mind of a bizarre demon creature. We get a psychedelic depiction of the creatures mind. There are strange bat creatures patterned like the night sky, a giant ominous eye ball creature and Xavier, half faded into the night sky, screaming in agony as a tentacle monster emerges from his head.

Banshee was right. She rules. Uncanny X-men 96.

X-men panel. Moire has grabbed a machine gun to attack the demon creature and is shouting "Well, if sonic blasts'll do nae guid, lets see how yon kelpie fares--- against close-range machine-gun fire!"

Havok was completely cool with the x-men up until this point. He'd even been on the team for a little bit. All of this gets ignored because, honestly, this is way more interesting. Uncanny X-men 97.

X-men cover for an issue titled "My brother -- my enemy!". Cyclops and Havok are battling, pitting their energy blasts against each other. Colossus is rushing to help but Storms stops him, saying "This is one battle Cyclops must fight ALONE!"
