Odd to pick 3 draft outliers from the last quarter century as if it's the norm. Your argument seems to be: it's actually BAD to make deals that could replenish talent at a huge discount because players don't always pan out. That is an unusual team building philosophy: "glass completely empty."

I mean, I could have picked 100. You seem to be completely missing the argument: Getting excited over a guess that your team will be great in 5 years because they MIGHT draft well (while completely ignoring the things that could hurt your team) is rather dumb.
