Seeds in the dark soil
Turn slowly
Seek light
In the desert of Winter
Coyote calls out
Yips and cries
“Come and play!”

Only at the end of all time
When the final die is cast
When the earth ceases to turn
Will we ever know
Coyote’s true intent
Beyond
