Popularity aside, the solution to the Fermi Paradox is that it doesn't exist. We don't have an understanding of how life emerged on earth, much less how likely it is to emerge in any given corner of the universe. Drake being incorrect about the distribution of life in the universe isn't a paradox

Purely speculative thinking based on the narrow assumption that "life" in other parts of space has any qualities we can relate to. But also, of course, the impossibility of interstellar space travel. Maybe some "living" thing can travel through space better than we can. Would we even know?
