I asked this on twt a while ago but I'm curious again, what do you guys headcanon scavengers as? I headcanon them as some kind of felines, you can see that on adult Katzen design My selling points: easily scared, puff up when scared, very expressive pupils and they scratch the ground #Rainworld

I headcanon them as some sort of ape-like creature but that's probably basic as fuck. It's mostly the way they move and how they hunch over that sells it for me. They also give me a prewritten history vibe when modern humans first started appearing

I always saw Scavs as their own Species, like a type of Mammal for sure. I've seen some Interpretate them as a weird type of deer but a weird mix of Mammal and Bug sounds also neat. Scavs are just neat weird creatures who better stop throwing rocks at me when I have the damn Chieftain passage

For me I see them more as their own creatures than anything, absolute goobers even! ...Well aside from my scav sona who's just a big fat asshole that likes pretty rocks.
