Nothing new for France. I stood in a picturesque Cote d’Azure pine forest overlooking the Med nearly 25 years ago, took a photo - and a few days later it was destroyed by fire…started on purpose by a part time fireman!
Atlantic Coast is rarer though.
Lovely part of France, simply not prepared.
